ส่วน V+ing ที่เรียกว่า Gerund นั้นเป็น Noun
ถ้าโจทย์เป็นช้อยส์ ก็ไม่ยากที่จะเลือกว่าจะตอบ V หรือ Ving
แต่ถ้าเราต้องหยิบมันมาใช้เองเพื่อการพูดหรือเขียนล่ะ
เราจะสับสนงุนงงใช่ม๊ะ ว่าจะเลือกใช้ Try doing หรือ Try to do ดี
Try doing จะมีความหมายไปทาง ลอง (do sth as an experiment/test)
อย่างเช่น ลองให้ดอกไม้เป็นกำลังใจเขาสิ, ลองใส่เกลือในน้ำซุปดูสิ เป็นต้น
Try to do จะมีความหมายไปในทาง พยายาม (Attempt to do)
อย่างเช่น พยายามอ่านหนังสือแทบตายได้มาแค่เกรดC, พยายามทำใจแค่ไหนแต่ใจก็ไม่ลืมเธอ เป็นต้น
